Now that spring has officially arrived in York, it’s time to dust off the cleaning supplies and get your home ready for the warmer months! While spring cleaning probably isn’t everyone’s favorite thing to do, it can certainly help you feel accomplished and ready for summer.
Here are some great spring cleaning tips to get the job done from HGTV.com:
• Use the right supplies. Since the air is fresh, stick to more natural products when cleaning. For the refrigerator, mixing salt and soda water together will create an abrasive texture that will make your fridge sparkle. Additionally, laying a paper towel soaked in vinegar on top of a lime-infested faucet for an hour will make removing the lime buildup an easier process. Not to mention, there are no harmful chemicals to deal with.
• Spend some time outside. Before packing away all of the blankets in your home, hang them outside on a clothesline for a day. Don’t forget the pillows and comforters! This will save you from doing a few loads of laundry.
• Dry the drapes. If your drapes aren’t looking as bright as they did before winter came, take them down and throw them in the dryer for about 15 minutes. Add in a wet towel to soak up the dust. The drapes will look brand new when you hang them back up.
