We’re proud to recognize Tyler as he celebrates 5 years with Keystone Custom Homes! As our Drafting Team Lead, he brings consistency, precision, and strong leadership to the drafting team.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Watching the homes I’ve drawn come to life in real time out in the field. There is something really rewarding about seeing a design go from concept on paper to a finished home from foundation to roof.
What is the biggest thing you have learned so far in your drafting role?
The biggest thing I have learned in my drafting role is that efficiencies are everywhere. You just have to identify them, create them, and share them with your team.
What has been your biggest takeaway from a milestone HOPE Trip with Keystone?
My biggest takeaway from a milestone HOPE Trip with Keystone is realizing that the work I do has a real, tangible impact on other people’s lives, even people I may never meet. It adds a deeper sense of purpose to what I do every day.
What is the most difficult accomplishment or goal you achieved?
By far, my most difficult accomplishment has been setting up the LotFits program. Taking it from simple polylines to a complex set of rules designed to minimize mistakes when fitting a customer’s lot has been a challenging but rewarding process over the past couple of years.
Fun fact about you!
I love being outdoors. Hiking, camping, backpacking, and kayaking are just a few of the things that get me excited for spring, summer, and fall.
