How has Keystone changed over the years that you have worked with us?

During my 16 years at Keystone Custom Homes, I have been blessed to see so many wonderful and positive changes within the company. We are constantly introducing new home plans and design items for personalization while enhancing our building process through innovative technology that improves the customer's experience of buying a new home. Keystone has evolved into one of the most recognized and respected builders in South Central PA and Northern Maryland, but one of the biggest changes I have seen lately is that we have recently embraced the Charlotte, NC area.  As part of our growth plan, more folks will have the opportunity to realize their dream of a new Keystone Custom Home in that area.  As the company grew, the one thing I can say that has never changed in my tenure at Keystone is the heart of the company’s commitment to people.  This cornerstone guides us as a company, keeping us true to our core values, promoting personal and professional growth, and always being customer-centric.  I love my Keystone family so much.

What has been your favorite community event you have executed?

One of my favorite things to do at Keystone is to be involved in our community events.  If I had to pick just one and only one event that is near and dear to my heart, I would have to say hosting our ‘Jingle Mingles’ in the model home during the Christmas season. The arrival of Jolly Olde Saint Nicholas to our model home is always a crowd-pleaser, especially for the little ones and of course me.  Children as well as adults have a special opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and whisper their secret Christmas wishes to him in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and carefully wrapped packages. It is a time for our homeowners to catch up with their neighbors while enjoying seasonally decorated sugar cookies, hot cocoa with all the trimmings, and of course a red and white peppermint stick from the big guy himself.  This event truly makes the season brighter for all.

What advice would you give to someone looking for a new home?

First and foremost someone looking for a new home needs to be able to have peace of mind during the entire buying process and at Keystone Custom Homes we endeavor to do everything possible to make this exciting time in their lives, easy and peaceful.

What is your favorite floorplan and why?

At the moment, I would have to say it would be our Hawthorne Vintage floorplan in our beautiful Somerford at Stoner Farm community. This home holds a special place in my heart. The Hawthorne is one of our larger homes, but at the same time, it is so comfortable. The layout of the rooms and the overall flow of the home is so inviting, and if I had to choose one standout feature, it would undoubtedly be the expansive Owner's Suite and its luxurious ensuite bathroom which makes a perfect at-home retreat.

What inspires your Christmas designs every year at Worthington?

This is an interesting question for me.  I am inspired by so many things which I then embrace and visualize in my mind’s eye.  It could be a personal desire to evoke a certain feeling.  It could be a collection of things that I would like to display and then use the Christmas tree as a background.  It could be a certain color that I am particularly fond of at that moment.  Just about anything could be an inspiration.  Sometimes it is hard for me to narrow down just one idea.  I enjoy this activity so much and I am always so grateful for the opportunity given to me to make our homes even more beautiful during the holiday season.
